I was born 1979 in Poland. Now I live in UK.
My speciality in black & white sea, waterscapes and less frequently architecture
is long exposure photography. I bought my first Zenit 12xp camera when I was 16 years old.
It was a start of a great journey for me.
I love adventure, so I've decided to embark on this new one - today I believe that
photography is never-ending and excellent fun with depth of light.
Over the years my hobby became more and more important for me.
I discovered new possibilities and the technology of photography became more advanced.
Later on came a change - the first SLR camera arrived to my workshop. It was
in 2008 and the camera was Nikon D70 with Nikkor 18-70mm kit lens.
I have since jumped on the digital bandwagon, recently upgraded my camera
to a Nikon D80 and I acquired new ultra-wideangle lens Sigma 10-20mm.
At the same time I started getting interested in long time exposure photography.
My first neutral density filter was Hoya NDx400 and I am using it up to this day.
In 2012 I changed my camera again, this time upgrading to Nikon D300
which I still use today.
I make all my images by using various Neutral Density filters, mainly Hoya.
In my works I don't use HDR nor software based on this technique. I create my photos generaly
using DRI (Dynamic Range Increase).
Most of the post-processing is done on the NEF file, i.e., levels, contrast and sharpening,
and some other minor adjustments if I feel that it may improve the picture.
At this stage I also convert the image to black and white.
I have been lucky enough to have my work published in magazines and calendars and this
encouraged me to improve my skills and broaden my knowledge.
To me a camera is only a tool. Nothing more than means to seize the beauty of a moment in one frame.
I believe that the most important quality of a photograph, as in all of art, is to evoke an emotional response.
